How to retrieve missed events via the MatchEventsFeed?

To maintain a complete and intact event stream, you must use the MatchEventsFeed RPC.

  • Reconnection behaviour: When you connect and send a MatchEventsFeedRequest for an active match, the very first message frame you receive will automatically contain a complete snapshot of all its historical events. This allows you to fully recover any discrete events you might have missed during a brief disconnection.
  • Deduplicating replayed events: Because these replayed historical events do not carry sequence numbers, your system must deduplicate them against the events you already processed before the drop. You can achieve this by comparing the event timestamp and content.
