What are the possible values for the outcome.result field as a part of the bet_settlement message?

The outcome result can either be 0 (losing) or 1 (winning). In the combination with the void factor, these are the possible combinations:

  • Outcome “1”, no void factor = WON
  • Outcome “0”, no void factor = LOST
  • Outcome “1”, void factor “0.5” = HALF-WON (half of the bet is winning, the other half voided)
  • Outcome “0”, void factor “0.5” = HALF-LOST (half of the bet is losing, the other half voided)

The void factor 0.5 is only used with Asian markets (Asian totals, Asian handicaps). Although it could be potentially present in the future, the void factor 1.0 is currently NOT being used, as its functionality is taken over by the bet_cancel message. If it was used, it would be:

  • Outcome “0”, void factor “1.0” = VOIDED
